(S)-MonoPhos is a chiral monodentate phosphoramidite ligand developed by Feringa and de Vries. Derived from (S)-BINOL, it forms highly enantioselective rhodium complexes for asymmetric hydrogenation of dehydroamino acids and enamides with low catalyst loadings.

Applications

  • Asymmetric hydrogenation of dehydroamino acids (Rh)
  • Enantioselective hydrogenation of enamides
  • Asymmetric hydrogenation of itaconic acid derivatives
  • Pharmaceutical synthesis of α-amino acids
