(S)-BINAL-H is the chiral aluminum hydride reducing agent developed by Noyori, prepared from (S)-BINOL, lithium aluminum hydride, and an alcohol. It is renowned for asymmetric reduction of aromatic ketones and α,β-unsaturated ketones with high enantioselectivity.
